TRAVEL DOCUMENTS:
All clients must be
in possession of valid passport and visas,
wherever necessary and it's their duty to conform
to the country's laws and regulations. Please visit the Ministry of foreign

PAYMENT BY
CREDIT CARD:
We accept all credit cards when you come
to the office and sign the appropriate charge
form. However some cards do not accept charging a
card through the telephone. VISA Card accepts the
"charge through telephone " if there is
an authorization signed by the card holder,
accompanied by a photocopy of the credit card. If
you pay with your credit card we suggest that you
print the authorization and send it through to
our fax machine: +210 3215520 together with the
copy of the credit card. MASTER Card in Greece
does not accept "charge through telephone"
of the credit cards. MASTER card is accepted only
at your presence and you signing the charge form. |
TRAVEL
INSURANCE:
We highly recommend insurance to cover
cancellation charges, trip interruption etc., and
should be arranged with your local travel or
insurance agency. |
TRANSPORTATION
BY BOAT:
All boat passages are booked on the normal
ferries' C class (aircraft seats). Any other
class, cabin birth or Highspeed passage will mean
extra charges. |
HOTEL
ACCOMMODATION:
We try our best to book the requested hotel. If
however the hotel requested is full, we try to
book a similar one, based on the National Tourism
Organization classification. All rooms are with
private facilities and include service charges. |
TRANSFERS:
Whenever specified, meeting and assistance
service are included. |
MEALS ON TOURS:
In the description of every tour, inclusion of
meals is clearly specified. PLEASE ADVISE US OF ANY SPECIAL
MEAL REQUIREMENT in advance. |
COACH TOURS:
They are organized by luxury airconditioned
motorcoaches accompanied by professional guides.
However, shore excursions on all cruises are
optional. Baggage is at OWNERS RISK throughout
the tour. Small articles (coats, wraps,
umbrellas, handbags, cameras, etc.) are entirely
under the care of the passenger. Make sure you
collect all your belongings when you disembark
from the bus at the end of the tour. |
DISCOUNTS FOR
CHILDREN:
In certain landtours and cruises the discount is
considerable. The discounts are available on
request for children under 12 years old. |
RATES:
All rates are subject to change without notice,
due to fuel surcharges, currency fluctuations or
increases imposed by hotels, tours and cruise
operators. |
DEPOSIT &
SETTLEMENT:
A non-refundable deposit of $ 100 per person or
full payment if the cost of services is less than
$ 100, is required within 7 (seven) days from
making the booking to secure the reservation. If
the deposit is not received on time, the
reservation will be automatically canceled.
Settlement of the balance due must be received 45
days before arrival. Bookings received less than
45 days before arrival must be accompanied by
full settlement. |
CANCELATIONS:
All requests for cancelations must be in
writing. Cancelation of confirmed booking before
arrival will be charged as follows:
45 - 30 days before arrival you lose the deposit
of $ 100.00
29 - 15 days before arrival you lose the amount
of 25%
14 - 08 days before arrival you lose the amount
of 50%
07 - day of arrival & Non shows lose the
amount of 100%.
For air tours and cruises, in addition to the
above mentioned fees clients are liable for all
cancelations fees charged by the specific airline
/ cruise company used. |
SINGLE
ACCOMMODATION:
Rates for single use concern
single hotel rooms and single cabins. ASTORIA
Travel cannot arrange shared accommodation in
hotel rooms or cabins. Sharing a cabin on cruises
is on request, if possible. |
TIPS/TAXES/ENTRANCE
FEES
All taxes on landtours and
on the cruises unless otherwise specified are
included. Entrance fees to Museums and
Archaeological sites are also included. Tips to
cruise staff, guides and drivers are not included
and are to your discretion. |
RESPONSIBILITY:
ASTORIA
Travel, Athens, Greece, acts solely in the
capacity of agent on behalf of its tour patrons
in arranging for transportation, sightseeing and
any other service, and as such is not responsible
for damage, loss, delay, injury or accident due
to any act or default on the part of any company
or person engaged in providing transportation,
sightseeing or other services which are part of
this tour. No carrier shall have, or incur, any
responsibility or liability to any person taking
the tour except its liability as a common
carrier. In the case of a force majeure, such as
strikes etc. we reserve the right to cancel the
tours and refund the money received. In such
cases, every effort will be made to assist the
passengers with alternative arrangements. |
