NAFPLION: Called by the Venetians "Napoli di Romania" is still one of the most attractive towns in Greece. It is a place that you are never tired visiting. Nafplion was the first capital of Greece after the liberation in 1823. The first King of Greece, King Otto disembarked here and remained in Nafplion till the government was removed to Athens in 1834.
