Two day "unique" tours
Olympia - A
"unique" two day tour with
a deluxe highlight, designed
for the visitors that want to visit Olympia and have a
little time to spare. Leave Athens 08.00am and after a
short stop at Corinth canal arrive at the deluxe ALDEMAR
OLYMPIAN Village resort, near
Pyrgos (tour highlight), at 11.30am. Stay as
long as you want of the day at the premises of the hotel,
swiming, having lunch at one of the hotel restaurant and
enjoy your drink at anyone of the hotel bars. Late
afternoon departure for Olympia. Dinner at a local
restaurant and overnight.
Next day, after breakfast, meet the tour guide and follow
him to the Olympia archaeological museum and the adjacent
ancient site for a 3 hours tour. After this you are free
to visit the other 2 museums on your own or enjoy the
peacefull setting of the area. After lunch, slowly start
the return to Athens.

Mystras-Monemvasia -
A two day tour
Day 1.In the morning, we drive south towards the
Corinth canal (short stop). Proceed towards Monemvasia, an
impregnable fortress built atop a huge rock that is often
called the "Gibraltar of Greece." En route, we
drive through Sparta and visit the medieval site of
Mystras, the last Byzantine despotate. Our visit includes some of the byzantine churches
and monasteries for which this site is known. Drive on and arrive in
Monemvasia to check into our hotel. Overnight in
Monemvasia.
Day 2. In the morning, explore
Monemvasia. While walking through the castle, ramparts,
old mansions, and narrow lanes paved with stone slabs,
you may be overcome with visions of the princes, knights,
and bishops that once called it home while it was a
fortress state. Afternoon departure to return to
Athens. |
Delphi & the monasteries of
the Meteora:
The tour begins with a visit to Delphi. You will
see what was called the "centre of the earth"
and the Byzantine monasteries built atop the huge rocks.
